Whip it with passion
To reinstate back my senses,
Strike me with vigor,
Strike my flesh with sheer eager,
Strike me harder,
Strike me with more dedication,
Slash me like you mean it,
Slash me with all your fury,
Slash me with fierce,
Slash my buttocks and back,
Don’t give a damn ‘bout my feelings,
Cane me into lockdown,
Lock me up…
Chain me in da house,
Let I melt down and drown
Into the waters of wretchedness
And stern deprivation,
Slap me with your hand
For that is more efficient
To communicate your message,
Directly it awakens
The nerves in contempt
Due to life’s uncertainties,
Punch me with zeal,
Punch me indeed,
With your unjust yet lawful fists
Free me from the thoughts
Of hunger and starvation,
Kick me with your legs and knees,
Stamp me with your boots,
Ignore my tears,
“For my own safety”
Chase me from the streets,
Safely detain me
In thy slums of poverty and more miseries,
Vandalize my property,
Deprive my dignity,
With your hands of steel
Deny me my inherent right of living,
For your Lockdown “State of Emergency”
Is none other but my obituary
But just before I officially perish
And rest six foot under...
How I wish,
We were more committed and desirous like this
In our fight against corruption and embezzlement,
In our quest for progress, equality and development,
How I wish,
We were lesser idiots and hypocrites.
